Delivery and installation of flexible barriers
Protection of staff and infrastructure
- Have you found yourself repeatedly replacing a steel barrier that keeps getting damaged in the very same, most vulnerable spot? Are torn-up flooring and damaged anchors an everyday occurrence for you?
- Do steel barriers deteriorate and corrode quickly, or react with the production environment? And what about damaged, scuffed trolleys and goods?
- With flexible barriers, you don’t have to worry about that.
- Flexible barriers are tested and certified by TÜV for impact forces of up to 35,574 J.
- They reduce the costs of maintenance, repairs and downtime associated with replacing barriers and damage to the floor.
Employee protection
They protect pedestrians from collisions with forklift trucks by absorbing the impact energy. They minimise the risks associated with forklift operators’ limited visibility.
Safety measures for machinery and racking
They shield critical areas that are most vulnerable to impact. Comprehensive designs protect entire areas, whilst individual barriers protect gates, posts and shelving units.
Visible transport routes
They effectively demarcate and separate the routes used by trolleys and other vehicles from pedestrian traffic. At the same time, they significantly improve visual management in the workplace.
What are the benefits of flexible barriers?
Easy installation
Installing the barriers is quick and straightforward thanks to the small number of components. The mounting fittings are supplied with the barriers.
Modularity
The length of the barriers can be adjusted even after installation. Selected modules can be easily replaced, and thanks to a special system, the crossbars can be cut to size by the user.
Space-saving
The density of the material and its special compact design allow the barriers to be installed at a short distance from the components being protected, thereby saving space.
Shock-absorbing design
The flexible material ensures that the barriers absorb the force of an impact and, after being struck and deformed, return to their original shape. The rounded posts are extremely durable, whilst the cross-beams, thanks to their large surface area, absorb the impact force from forklift trucks.
What sort of environments?
Are you wondering whether flexible barriers could be used in your industry? Find out which features of these barriers are important in different environments.
The food industry
- Resistance to water and moisture
- Special low-temperature models for installation in cold stores
- A non-porous material that is easy to clean and does not harbour mould and/or microorganisms
- Non-toxic. Resistant to salt solutions, alcohol, chemicals and acids
- Accessories available for concealed or stainless steel mounting
Automotive
- Resistance to fuel, oil, alcohol and acids
- High-visibility colour
- The ability to create a bespoke solution tailored to any machine or conveyor
- Quick installation with no downtime
The chemical and textile industries
- Non-toxicity, resistance to salt solutions
- Fire class V0
- Water resistance
- Option to reinstall
Production lines
- High impact resistance
- A wide range of models and sizes
- The ability to adapt the barriers to low or high traffic volumes
Warehouses and logistics
- High material density for the most exposed areas
- Protection for the floor in the event of an impact, thanks to the flexible material
- Durability and resilience for heavy vehicle traffic
- Weather resistance
Your business needs more than just a product
At 4safety, we offer not only products, but also our expertise and experience:
- expert advice on security measures for production, logistics and warehouse facilities
- audit/site visit
- where necessary, a written assessment of the safety situation at the site
- proposals for solutions to enhance the effectiveness of flexible barriers, e.g. flexible gates opened and closed by a motion sensor, virtual signs, and interactive safety lines displayed when a person leaves the safety zone
- visualisation and design in DWG
- Assembly and installation without downtime – we know how important it is for plants to maintain continuity of production and transport, which is why our assembly teams also work in the evenings and at weekends
- We are here to offer advice should you have any questions, concerns or changes to the project
