8/20 Basic lockEX 2.0 Battery Charging Cabinet – safe charging and storage of lithium-ion batteries, certified in accordance with VDMA 24994:2024-08.

The economy version of the lockEX 2.0 cabinet – designed to focus on the most essential safety features for charging and storing lithium-ion batteries. The cabinet contains any battery fire inside – neither flames nor sparks escape to the outside, and the protection is not time-limited. 

Key benefits:

• VDMA 24994:2024-08 certificate: cabinet certified by ECB·S (No. 2503/LIB25-01C) in accordance with the VDMA standard sheet for lithium-ion battery cabinets.
• lockEX 2.0 technology: controlled pressure reduction upon ignition of gases – the doors remain closed and the surrounding area is protected from the effects of an explosion.
• Fire resistance: 60 minutes in accordance with DIN EN 1363-1, certified by TÜV NORD (programme M02/22).
• Charges up to 36 batteries simultaneously: 4 power strips, each with 9 sockets (230 V), 8 charging levels, max. 12 kWh (1.5 kWh per level).
• Automatic power cut-off in the event of overheating, smoke detection, a fault or the door being opened.
• Fire and smoke protection: non-combustible materials, fire-resistant seals, protection against cold smoke, thermally self-closing ventilation openings.
• Two-module design – four-leaf door, fire grille, 8 loading levels on legs.

Equipment –  CONTROL PANEL (Basic):

• smoke detector and temperature sensor,
• an acoustic and visual warning signal,
• monitoring the status of doors,
• a fan that dissipates heat during charging,
• network connection to additional cabinets and data storage for up to 18 months,
• a connector for connecting the fire alarm system (SSP).
