Fire-resistant cabinet for lithium-ion batteries, size XL 90 min 1200 x 600 x 1950 mm

90 min fire-resistant cabinet is the ideal solution for the safe storage of lithium batteries. It provides protection for batteries against fire, leaks, and other hazards.

• Made entirely of cold-pressed steel sheet with a thickness of 1/1.5 mm.
• Insulation resistant to extreme temperatures up to 800 °C.
• Interior finish with high resistance even to aggressive fumes.
• Hydraulic door closing at ambient temperatures above 47°C.
• The ventilation ducts close at a temperature of 70°C.
• Lower sump tray (in accordance with the requirements of EN14470).
• Possibility of charging batteries inside the cabinet - in this case, power sockets for charging must be purchased separately. 

Equipment of the cabinet for lithium-ion batteries:

• 4 storage levels, including 1 lower sump tray with grating, 
• grounding, leveling feet,
• strong steel handle along the entire length of the door,
• right-hand single-leaf door*,
• non-sparking hinges, 
• key lock,
• marking compliant with ISO 3864,
• design allowing replacement of spare parts if necessary,
• optionally, the cabinet can be equipped with a fan or filter fan in a standard version, or EX/ATEX.

You can additionally equip the cabinet with an Automatic fire extinguishing system, which ensures even greater safety during the charging of lithium-ion batteries. In models with an integrated fire extinguishing system, once fire is detected, it is automatically activated and begins the extinguishing process.

Norma EN 14470-1 potwierdza, że szafa wytrzymuje działanie ognia z otoczenia (np. pożar hali czy magazynu) przez określony czas — nasze szafy przez 90 minut. To realny margines czasowy na ewakuację i akcję gaśniczą, w którym baterie przechowywane w szafie pozostają bezpieczne.

Test VDMA 24994 — ochrona przed pożarem od środka

Norma VDMA 24994 to test dedykowany bateriom litowo-jonowym. Co się dzieje, gdy to sama bateria ulegnie awarii i doprowadzi do niekontrolowanego przegrzania (tzw. thermal runaway) wewnątrz szafy. Wynik testu jest jednoznaczny: zaliczony albo nie.

Nasza szafa przeszła ten test pomyślnie: podczas kontrolowanej próby doszło do zapłonu i eksplozji ogniwa wewnątrz komory, a mimo to:

• na zewnątrz nie pojawiły się żadne płomienie,
• temperatura ścian zewnętrznych pozostała w bezpiecznych granicach,
• pożar nie rozprzestrzenił się na pozostałe baterie w szafie,
• konstrukcja i zamki drzwi pozostały nienaruszone.
