Monitoring of flat roof deflections

The stability of a building’s structure can be seriously disrupted by, for example, the load of a photovoltaic installation, excessive precipitation, and the accumulation of hail or snow on the roof. Thanks to a deflection monitoring system, you can safely and accurately measure the level of roof deflection and the verticality of columns. The measurement method does not interfere with the use of the floor: it is carried out in the horizontal plane. Sensors record the change in roof deflection at the location where the target is mounted—usually at mid-span of the measured element. The sensors themselves are placed on columns or at support points.
